Italy – The World’s Top Vacation Destination
Every year, the U.S. Tour Operators Association, a professional association of travel agents and tour operators who arrange travel for more than 10 million travelers every year, runs an informal survey among members to name the world’s top vacation destinations. Year after year, one country tops the list of international vacation destinations – Italy, the heart of civilization, the cradle of romance and the home of the Holy Sea.
What is it that makes Italy so special? The spectacular scenery and warm, wonderful climate are only the background of the picture. Italy is a colorful mosaic of travel experiences, a delicious mélange of flavors and cultures that offers something for every traveler. From cosmopolitan culture buff to adventurer, from the serious student of history to the socialite, Italy truly is the country that caters to them all and everyone in between.

Travel Italy by Train
When asked about dream destinations, a majority of people would reply that they would like to take a trip to Europe. And who wouldn’t? This continent that has been in existence since the dawn of civilization has become a melting pot of various cultures, and traveling to it will truly be an unforgettable experience. And when you travel to Europe, you surely wouldn’t want to miss all the historic attractions and breathtaking sights. What better way to make the most of your trip than to travel Europe by train.
The great thing about taking a European tour is that besides the convenience of continental currency, there are now trains that connect all the key cities of several countries together. Visiting and appreciating them all is just a matter of purchasing the right ticket, knowing the routes, and carefully planning your itinerary. The train network that you should be most familiar with is Eurail. Whether you are in Rome traveling northward to Florence and Venice, or are in Germany taking the route to Switzerland, there is a Eurail train that takes that route and many more.

The Italian Way of Life and Italy Travel
When in Rome you should always do as the Romans do. This may be a cliché of sorts but it also applies to any Italy travel that you may undertake n the near future. Italy is not situated in the Arab states where they are extremely strict on what outsiders coming in do, but they will not thank you for any disruption to their customs or way of life either! This is why it is important to do a little research before you go!
Italy travel can be a whole lot of fun, but not if you flaunt your own beliefs if they are completely different to the Italian way of life. Italians are extremely proud people and will not tolerate any form of outside interference. For example, family is extremely important to them and if you show disrespect they will protect their own interests and call you on it. Always be respectful, no matter what. If you do have a problem then bring it up with the male in the family. Italy is a very traditional country and the man is still responsible for the household. This will become apparent in restaurants if you dine as a couple. The waiter will always speak to the man and not the woman!
